McManus’ presentation was very exciting. This type of info is what I believe will pique the interest of senior management: translating strategy into a project plan. The second speaker was very helpful with PM techniques such as the prioritisation framework he said they are busy implementing, and also the common frustrations and causes of failure on projects. Being a potential future PSNext user not knowing where to start, the last speaker was very helpful. I find myself in the exact position of needing to motivate to the Directors the need for PSNext.

Thanks for an excellent User Conference yesterday. The one thing that became very apparent is the fact that most PSNext implementations was met with resistance by persons not willing to change. It also came out clearly that, to overcome this resistance, implementation of PSNext must be taken in small steps, with the initial workload placed on project managers restricted to a minimum. As PMs become familiar with its functionality and recognise the opportunities offered by PSNext, specifically wrt knowing what is happening on a project, online and on-time reporting, they will gradually progress from resisting, to requiring more functions. – Hennie Briedenhann – PILOG.
I would like to thank you for your commitment and hospitality in conducting the annual event as well as for the gift given to us at the end. Ah, the food was magnificent. – Fernando Salinas – NET1.
